
Samsara Project (2025)
We are a team working on a multiplayer MVP that adheres to the classic RPG styles we know and love; but with a higher fidelity as well as better, more modern practices.

Working Samsara Project:
This was an incredibly fun project to work with. I worked with a few developers to input 2D sprites and an 8-directional animations into a 3D rendered world using the Unreal Engine. Seeing the 2D assets rendered like that in a 3D world was a pleasure and the attention to detail the team provided to the project was unparalleled. Many passionate individuals that work behind the scenes of the Samsara Project. It was a unique but fulfilling workflow to render 2D Pixel Art into a full 3D environment. Challenges around lighting, blooming and adjustments to the high customization of the assets meant that modularity was king. I would often break these assets into smaller pieces, that when attached in-engine, would provide a fully animated sprite that allowed for you to change aspects of it that the player desired. Like hair, clothing, skin color, etc.
